Established in the year of 1996, the department has qualified and experienced faculties, technical assistants, Laboratories as per AICTE and ANNA university standards. Students are trained in engineering theory and practice, state of art equipments and software in order to cope up with the latest technological advancement and to face the challenges of Competitive global environment.

CAD-CAM lab is equipped with FMS system with an articulated ROBOT, CNC Turning and Milling machines to train the students in the state of the art FMS programming.

Our department has latest Software such as AutoCAD, CATIA, Solid works, Unigraphics, Inventor series, CADEM, Ansys, Lab view, Hydrosim and pneumosim.

A Mini thermal power plant with Revomax boiler which generates steam at 10 bar pressure coupled with steam turbine and a condenser, computerized I engine set up with data acquisition system and Five gas analyzer are the highlights of our thermal lab.

Students of our department have presented many papers in National level Symposiums, conferences and in design competitions organized by various colleges and won many prizes. Our department has two professional students chapter like SAE Collegiate Club and Indian Institute of Production Engineers (IIPE).

Project work done on Alternative fuels by our students received appreciation from FORMER PRESIDENT OF INDIA  (Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam).
