Anbanathapuram, Enathimangalam, Pallavarayanpet, Karugudi and Kanganamputhur are the five hamlets that have carved a niche in the hearts of people of this area.These five villages are the nucleus for the AVCharities. In founding the AVC Arts and Science College in 1955,extending to AVC Polytechnic in 1983, and adding AVC College of Engineering in 1996,the AnbanathapuramVahairaCharities, a.k.a AVC, strides towards its chosen social vision, educational mission and religious fusion, of the great Philanthropist Thiru P.Ramalingam Pillai who sired the AV Charities in 1806, in memory of his deceased young son Thiru Velayutham Pillai. The descendant families of these five villages keep the vision and mission always focused.
