As a part of Indian Red Cross, We have a unit of Youth Red Cross members. The members are involved in several service activities like, conducting medical awareness camps in rural area in and around our location. Blood donation, helping the traffic police in controlling the traffic in the town, conference on self employment etc. The members are also allowed to attend conference at various places of our country.
Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) celebrated the 64th Genera conventions Day on 17-08-2013 at Indian Red cross society Tamilnadu branch building in Chennai. Mr. S. Kannan, Assoc. Professor at Department of Mechanical Engineering, AVC college of Engineering, Mannampandal, Mayiladuthurai received the Best YRC programme officer state award.
